The MetroCable arise in 2000, initially as IBCO – Industria Brasileira de Cabos Opticos, with national capital and technology, and at a moment of large expansion in the Brazilian telecommunications industry due to the privatization of the formally state owned telephony operator companies.
The Metrocable’s industry was strategically installed in Salto town, located in a highly developed region of Sao Paulo state, in an industrial building with about 4.000m ², nearby of main Brazilian cargo airport and with easy connection to the most important access and circulation highways of of the state.
In 2001, the company changed its corporate name for MetroCable Industria e Comercio Ltda, and improved its activities with a manufacturing plant technologically up-to-date. Ever since operates with a team of collaborators highly skilled and motivated.
Growing every year and investing continuously in the improvement of the quality of its products and services, the company is today reference in the market, with capacity to transform almost 200 thousand optical-fiber kilometers, in optic cables per year, for the most diverse applications.
With a diversified portfolio, the Metrocable products are manufactured in accordance with Brazilian (ABNT) and international (ITU, IEC, TIA/EIA) standards, and certified for the ANATEL (Brazilian Telecommunications Agency). Metrocable manufactures customized products to fit special and stringent customer’s specifications.
Acting in the Brazilian and international market, MetroCable supplies products to customers in the areas of telecommunications and data networks, and for companies working on security, oil & gas, and automation as well.
